What is Ketamine Therapy?

When it comes to fighting depression, PTSD, anxiety, trauma, and addiction your options are fairly limited.
Ketamine seems to work quickly and with minimal side effects (at least compared to other drugs). It works by targeting specific neurotransmitters in the brain that cause a particular feeling or pain. In some cases, patients have experienced relief from symptoms within hours after receiving their first dose of ketamine.

Ketamine being an anesthetic, analgesic, and somewhat of a dissociative is often used in surgeries and in many cases by dentists for procedures such as tooth extraction, may now be administered at a sub anesthetic dose (a dosage that does not put you to sleep). This low dose Ketamine Infusion may temporarily reverse symptoms associated with depression, anxiety, addiction, PTSD, OCD, and chronic pain.

Our ketamine service is a 40 minute continuous infusion of low-dose intravenous ketamine. This process is administered under direct physician supervision with constant monitoring of vital signs for the highest possible levels of safety.

Depression

Antidepressants usually take weeks to kick in, and even then they only treat the symptoms of depression and don’t get to the root of the problem itself. Ketamine, on the other hand, seems to work quickly and with minimal side effects
